her legacy will last long after,
for you can’t spell truth without ruth,
a Supreme Court Justice who inspired thousands of youth.
She fought for gender equality,
despite constantly being doubted even with her Columbia Law School degree.
She led the tireless struggle for equal rights,
same-sex marriage, #MeToo movement, minorities, and America’s most important fights.
We have lost a champion of justice,
a true icon and legend among us.
She dissented and spoke the truth,
we will always miss you dearly, Ruth.
